Chicago, IL to Oakland, MI by Dexter

Chicago into Michigan

Chicago into Michigan

In the morning Mom went for a walk so Rudy, Dad, and I were left alone for breakfast. We left to find an Au Bon Pain by Yelping. We fond one, but when we got to where it was supposed to be, it wasn’t there. In the end it turned out it was in a hospital and I had a good chocolate croissant. Then we met up with Mom and walked to an art museum (the Art Institute of Chicago).

While we were at the museum I got lost. First I hung out at a place that Mom wanted to go, but didn’t open until 11:30. I knew that they would go there, but I got bored and it wasn’t opening any time soon so I started to wander. Then a security guard stopped me and told me to go the lobby where my family was (the reason I didn’t use my phone is that it was left in the plane). After looking at the exhibit we walked back to leave (lunch was more Chipotle).

On the way to Oakland, MI I slept and read (big surprise), but I also practiced card tricks, especially one I made myself. There are no pictures since my phone was out of battery. When we got there we went to see the Raimi’s (friends who were also in Michigan). My brother got to sleep over, but after I had my spaghetti I had to leave with Mom and Dad.

My favorite things at the Art Institute:

About Colin Summers

I am an architect, programmer, private pilot, husband and father. A couple of those I am good at.
